Job description
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Tasks

  • Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces, and other exhibitions.
  • Establish work schedules.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers.
  • Manage cash.

Support for newcomers and refugees

  • Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.).
  • Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.).
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Work Term: Permanent

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
