THE ROLE
Our Retail Team is looking for an Area Visual Merchandiser to join us in Edmonton, AB! The Area Visual Merchandiser is the visual leader based in West Edmonton Mall and supports our other locations as needed during both lull and peak seasons in the year. This individual will showcase the highest level of visual merchandising displays as the leading store in the district. In supporting the retail team, you will ensure that you are maximizing store profitability at every opportunity through visual displays, assisting in floor mapping and development of employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Guarantee that the VM Directive is actioned and that all points have been achieved.
Conduct weekly floor walks of your store, making sure that points that need to be addressed are raised and actioned.
Ensure your store is commercially set up, analyzing figures to assist you in deciding product locations and floor moves.
Support another store, when assigned, ensuring all VM points are actioned, and the store is commercial and upholding VM standards.
Make sure that your stores receive visual merchandising training.
Prepare and conduct development sessions with instore teams and potential future talent.
Regular communication with Sales Regional Managers, District Managers, and Visual Regional Manager.
Store Visit Reports conducted and submitted to the District Visual and Sales Manager, ensuring that the In-Store Merchandiser and management team are aware of what needs to be actioned.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
Minimum of 1 year of visual merchandising experience is required.
Minimum of 6 months - 1 year of Retail Management skills is required.
Excellent Leadership and Time Management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
IT skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel advantageous.
Driving license is preferable.
Willingness to travel to assist with new store openings.
