Purpose of Role:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, the Hardware Systems Technician contributes to the efficiency of manufacturing lines and the overall success of manufacturing operations by ensuring that all electrical and mechanical components are assembled according to specifications, leading to the efficient manufacturing of high-quality finished products. Their contributions are essential for meeting manufacturing targets and satisfying customer demands for finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus Area: Inspect and assemble parts or components to build various mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, following blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Test completed equipment using testing instruments and software to verify functionality, safety, and conformance to specifications.
  • Document assembly processes to maintain accurate manufacturing records, including recording serial numbers of components used, problems encountered, and solutions applied.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, organization, and responsiveness, effectively managing and completing requests, tasks, activities, or issues.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates who have the ability to perform the objectives below.
  • Fluent in English with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Electronics Assembly background; soldering experience is a must-have.
  • Dexterity to use hand and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and drills, to perform assembly tasks precisely and efficiently.

Compensation: CAD 49k to 52k (depending on qualifications)
