Job Summary:

The CSA Group office in Pointe-Claire is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Electronics Technician for medical and electrical equipment. The successful candidate will report to the Laboratory Team Lead.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical safety tests on all types of electro-medical, electronic and/or electrical equipment, according to specific work orders and following the requirements of applicable certification standards. He/she will also have to write reports on test results, use several types of electronic measuring equipment, and participate in various tasks to ensure the smooth running of the laboratory. The candidate will also have to work closely with electro-medical product certifiers.

Qualifications Required:

  • College diploma (DEC) in electronics or university degree (BAC) in electrical engineering, experience in electro-medical equipment. Equivalencies will also be considered.
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years' experience in electronics, including electro-medical devices, power supplies, measuring devices, printed circuits, reading and understanding electronic plans, use of computer, electronic and electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of standards and certification programs desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate and work as part of a team.
  • Autonomy, good organizational skills, resourcefulness, good manual dexterity and comfortable using different tools.
