What to Expect:
You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our Corporate Communications and sustainability strategies. As a refined communicator with strong leadership, you will champion our global sustainability roadmap and local Corporate communications priorities, driving initiatives that enhance our brand's sustainability credentials and deliver positive social and environmental impacts. By overseeing our corporate affairs, you will be the guardian of the company's reputation and credibility, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring ethical, socially responsible, and environmentally sustainable operations in close collaboration with other functions in the organization. Additionally, you will lead internal communications to foster employee engagement and knowledge. You will also lead a dedicated team of two, guiding them towards excellence. A day in the Life of a Corporate Affairs and Social Responsibility Manager:

  • Develop Corporate Affairs strategy and editorial approach
  • Drive philanthropy agenda and relationship with NGO or relevant external partners
  • Develop, recommend and implement the sustainability strategy, notably including environmental sustainability initiatives, community empowerment programs and employee engagement tactics.
  • Responsible for crisis management and issue mitigation
  • Lead External communication projects & campaigns supporting both corporate communications and sustainability effort, designing approach to deliver the biggest impact
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to CSR and sustainability, notably but not limited to Claims legal clearance
  • Build and refine key performance indicators to measure CSR impact across various areas such as environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical business practices.
  • Act as key guardian and steward of ethical, social and environmental company standards across teams and functions
  • Lead all aspects of Internal communications and employee engagement strategy

Role Requirements

  • Bilingualism in English and French is required for this position. The role involves frequent and complex collaboration with collaborators across the Canadian market and/or internationally. These interactions necessitate a high level of proficiency in English to effectively perform the tasks associated with the job.
  • University degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a similar marketing or category management role within a fast paced consumer or luxury goods industry
  • Proven track record in Communications (Consumer or Corporate)
  • Experience in marketing sustainability (product innovation, recycling programs)

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrates analytical skills and abilities to deliver results
  • Strong ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects at once
  • Understanding of international brand presence
