Sport Psychologist

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Sport Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, data collection, and research, with experience working with children and individuals in special education settings. As a Psychologist, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions while collaborating with other healthcare professionals in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health disorders.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
3. Provide therapeutic interventions and counseling to patients, focusing on children and those in special education.
4. Collect and analyze data related to patient progress and treatment outcomes.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes using medical terminology.
7. Stay current with research findings and best practices in psychology to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

1. Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
2. Valid licensure to practice as a Psychologist.
3. Experience working with children and knowledge of special education practices is preferred.
4. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to psychological assessments and treatments.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and documentation.
6. Ability to work collaboratively within a hospital setting while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
