In this position, you will:
Completion of Grade 12 plus a minimum of one (1) year post-secondary training in Accounting and completion of Payroll Compliance Legislation course. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Accounting or Payroll. Thorough knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office programs. Previous experience with web-based benefit administrative systems and PeopleSoft Ben Admin an asset. Candidates must possess the following skills: sound judgement, exceptional customer service, excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be able to meet the VSB standard for the following assessments: Word and Excel (average=+75%), composing correspondence and applicable accounting. Must be able to work in-office full-time.
The salary for the Payroll - Benefits & Compliance Support position is $36.30/hour (paid as 7 hours/day) plus a comprehensive benefits package, including Municipal Pension Plan, Vancouver Employee Savings Plan, Extended Health, Dental, Group Life, Long Term Disability, Vacation, & Gratuity Days.
