Security Technician, Victoria

About the position:

Currently, we are seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our Low Voltage team in Victoria. This position requires the employee to be a current member or willing to become a member of the IBEW 230.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. A focus on customer satisfaction
2. Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision
3. Capability to lead a technical team
4. Experience and knowledge with Access Control, CCTV, Mass Storage, Intrusion/Burglar Alarms, Networks and Communication electronics
5. Interpret plans and design documents
6. Install and program systems
7. Willing to work after hours and be on call

Experience and Skills:

1. Security TQ
2. Security License
3. Active IBEW 230 Membership or willing to become a member
4. Strong attention to detail
5. Good organizational and communication skills
6. Eligible for security clearance up to secret level
7. Valid driver's license
8. Knowledge preferred in the following areas - Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC, Avigilon, Kantech
9. Healthcare system experience an asset
