The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of development-side municipal and planning law, including: site-specific and broad development policy issues, land-use planning and related development matters including disputes, aiding with municipal review and opinions for real-estate acquisitions, preparing and prosecuting development approvals, and handling expropriation matters, including appearances before municipal councils, Committees of Adjustments, courts and administrative tribunals (e.g. the Ontario Land Tribunal and the Board of Negotiation).
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of related legal experience, preferably gained at a firm doing municipal and planning law or a municipality.
