HVAC Technician

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Professionally service HVAC equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
• Create positive relationships with customers; offer for sale other company products and services, and demonstrate your ability to communicate and problem-solve to ensure customer satisfaction.

What do you bring?

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have a Gas Technician II license.
• Received certificate of qualification (C of Q) as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – 313d).
• Must have a valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card.
• Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.
• 3 – 5 years of field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment is an asset.
• Willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Physically capable of performing all work required of this position, including occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, and working inside and outside in all types of weather.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to understand and learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/electricity).
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Willing to wear Company provided uniform.
• Maintain company vehicle to a neat, clean, and safe standard.
