Our client, a multi-disciplinary service company, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their management team in Laval. Thanks to its excellent reputation, our client does business with companies from both the private and public domains on three different continents.
The Position
Today, our client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to work with the management team. In particular, the candidate will develop financial models in the context of mergers and business acquisitions. The analyst will also set up decision-making tools to enhance overall financial performance.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Produce monthly financial analyses to support the company's overall financial performance.
- Develop performance indicators to guide strategic management processes.
- Manage the merger/acquisition process, conduct due diligence reviews, and prepare financial models in collaboration with relevant sectors.
- Coordinate budget management activities to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
- Participate in creating action plans for adopting best practices in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, policies, procedures, and standards of governance and ethics.
- Provide financial support to various groups within the company to contribute to growth.
- Prepare presentations for senior management by providing financial expertise.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives for continuous excellence.
- Collaborate with the team on various special projects.
Required Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with relevant experience.
- Possession of a recognized accounting designation (CPA).
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills
- Experience in financial modeling.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Bilingualism (both oral and written).
Preferred Experience
- Experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience in the consulting engineering sector.
