RVT / Veterinary Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care for animals, assisting veterinarians in diagnosing and treating various health conditions. Your expertise in laboratory procedures and animal care will ensure that our patients receive the best possible treatment in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health during treatments.
• Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia administration and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.22-$27.96 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Flexible language requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• veterinary technician: 1 year (preferred)
