Our client is seeking a Millwright to join their team. Reporting to the Mill Mechanical Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for providing repairs, overhauls, and new builds to mining related equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Repairing, servicing and rebuilding equipment as directed.
Actively participating in developing and building preventative maintenance schedules and objectives.
Supporting all departmental initiatives with a concentration on preventative maintenance and construction initiatives.
Install, maintain, modify and repair machinery and stationary equipment.
Repair pipes and some other outdoor work.
Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends to prepare mechanical maintenance reports.
Perform hot work such as cutting and welding.
Follow health and safety policies to ensure safety and environmental protection.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Journeyperson Trade Certificate as Industrial Mechanic/Millwright
Dual trade designation/certification is considered an asset
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience, including 2 years of experience in a mine setting is required.
ROTATION:
THIS IS A FIFO BASED ROLE OUT OF THUNDER BAY ON A 7 X 7 OR 14 X 14 DAY ROTATION.
