We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) (m/f/d) to lead our product marketing efforts and drive brand awareness, thought leadership, pipeline generation, customer acquisition, commercialization, and revenue growth within the supply chain management sector. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a deep understanding of technology marketing and a proven track record of success in a similar role.

What your Organization will do:

Strategic Marketing Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and product strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Ownership to ensure a seamless interlock between product strategy and external marketing communication.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Set marketing KPIs and track performance to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth.
  • Oversee a team that conducts market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure a seamless execution of the marketing strategy in collaboration with regional marketing leadership.

Brand Management:

  • Build and maintain a strong brand identity and positioning for Supply Chain Management.
  • Manage brand reputation and crisis communications.

Demand and Pipeline Generation:

  • Develop and implement effective demand generation strategies, including content marketing and social media marketing.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to generate qualified leads and drive pipeline growth.

Content Marketing:

  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to launch new products and features.
  • Create high-quality product marketing materials, such as datasheets and presentations.

Customer Marketing:

  • Build strong relationships with strategic customers and foster customer loyalty.

Organizational Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing organization.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the marketing team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to align marketing efforts with product development and customer needs.

A thorough understanding of Supply Chain software solutions and processes, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deconstruct complexity drivers are required. You are expected to provide well-conceived conclusions, including impact analysis and relevance for the SAP Digital Supply Chain Business Unit.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the supply chain or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, channels, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Typically requires 15+ years of experience in technology marketing.

SAP believes in pay transparency and provides the annualized compensation range for this position, which is 370,400 - 629,700 CAD. The actual amount will be determined through the selection process.

Due to the nature of the role, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in Quebec.
