WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing to join our Calgary Manufacturing team. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance activities such as Preventive Maintenance and Daily Start Up settings for manufacturing robots. The successful candidate will be able to create and improve manufacturing processes to meet production targets, maintain efficiency, reduce costs, reduce equipment shutdowns, and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Daily line start-up activities such as systems power up, daily calibration, and product specific line setup, in coordination with the team leads and in line with the production schedule.
• Perform scheduled Manufacturing Infrastructure Preventative Maintenance on specified equipment to ensure their continued availability and maintain records of these activities.
• Be a first point of contact for equipment related issues identified by production on a day to day basis and escalate these as appropriate.
• Conduct minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, such as replacing filters, lights, pneumatic fittings and lubricating moving parts.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering on improvement initiatives addressing quality, capacity, or ergonomic issues in the manufacturing plant. This may include assisting in building out new infrastructure or identifying and scheduling upgrades and improvements to existing equipment.
• Assist senior technicians with ongoing new installations of production lines & retrofitting of mechanical equipment.
• Aid production as time permits and priorities dictate.

Basic Qualifications:

• Basic mechanical and electrical skills.
• Experience installing, maintaining, trouble-shooting, and repairing manufacturing industrial machinery.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools daily.

Skills:

• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
