Our Client is a fast-paced, growing Aero-structures manufacturer located in Fort Erie. We are a build to print facility with a 500,000 sq ft facility, manufacturing sheet-metal, machined and composite parts and assemblies for several major aerospace OEMs. Our client is in the midst of a modernization transition and is looking for bright and talented individuals who want to lead and grow with a dynamic and evolving organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To supervise and administrate the daily activities of the methods planning department while ensuring compliance to customer requirements and our internal procedures:
Organize, direct, and control the development of production methods (planning) and work instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance with our internal procedures (MEP).
Manage the flow of work into the planning department and assign priorities accordingly to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Develop standards to ensure consistency in the documentation the planning department produces (Planning, work instructions, etc.).
Review and approval of planning & ensuring accuracy of information entered into our ERP system.
Assist in proposal/estimating activities for new programs and/or products.
Co-lead our Change Control Board, and manage both internal and external requests for changes to methods.
Develop work breakdown structures for large methods planning initiatives/new program start-ups and prepare work distribution plans.
Interface with customers, as required, to resolve complex technical issues.
Provide shop floor support and assist with Root Cause Corrective Action(s) (RCCA Process).
Maintain continuous process improvement with safe work practices to reduce cost, improve quality and increase throughput for new and existing methods.
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with EH&S and government regulations, manufacturing information and records.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience in an aerospace Manufacturing environment.
Involvement/experience in Methods Planning.
Experience with Production Control, Scheduling, and Inventory Control would be considered an asset.
Ability to conduct in-depth analysis resulting in development and execution of action plans for improvement.
Ability to read drawings, knowledge of GD&T concepts and principles.
Experience with CAD software, familiarity with CATIA.
Strong time management skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills within a team environment.
Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
Experience with ERP-based methods planning is preferred but not required.
