Your Role:
As an Intermediate Architect, you’ll play a key role in design, detailing, and documentation for a variety of projects. You’ll work alongside senior architects and consultants, contributing to innovative solutions while honing your technical and creative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural and Urban Design:
- Develop innovative, creative, and sustainable design solutions that align with project objectives and client visions.
- Collaborate with senior architects and project teams to prepare, coordinate, and refine detailed construction documents using Revit and other design tools.
- Participate actively in the design development process, ensuring that designs meet aesthetic, functional, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the creation of compelling presentations to communicate design concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders.
Project Leadership & Management:
- Assist in managing architectural projects from initial concept through to construction, ensuring smooth project workflows and timely delivery.
- Engage with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to maintain clear communication and foster strong relationships.
- Support senior team members in monitoring project progress, addressing design challenges, and ensuring compliance with budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Stay current with emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance project outcomes.
Documentation & Coordination:
- Prepare and review architectural drawings, technical documentation, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors, to integrate all aspects of design and construction seamlessly.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to the firm’s standards and aligns with the overall project strategy.
Professional Development:
- Contribute to a collaborative studio culture by sharing knowledge and supporting junior team members in their professional growth.
- Actively participate in team discussions and workshops to promote innovative approaches to architectural challenges.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 5+ years of architectural experience, with a portfolio demonstrating design excellence.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit; experience with Rhino, Dynamo, or Grasshopper is an asset.
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Bluebeam.
- Solid understanding of BC Building Code (BCBC) and Vancouver Building Bylaw (VBBL).
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
