FT-Lead Certified Level II Dental Assistant needed to join our growing dental practice in Barrie, Ontario.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, a team player, have a positive attitude, and be passionate about their role as a dental assistant.
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are vital. Reliability and a good work-ethic are essential. For the right applicant, there is much potential for growth.
An assistant with experience as a clinical lead is needed. Someone who can problem solve and work independently is an asset.
* CDA II certification required

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring a positive experience for the patient
- Preparing treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials.
- Assisting chairside with all types of dental procedures (restorative, endodontic, oral surgery, ortho)
- Taking records, diagnostic impressions, digital x-rays, and typing notes
- Setting up and cleaning up treatment rooms
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining the sterilization logs
- Taking blood pressure, pulse, and pulse oximeter readings
- Providing OHI
- Assisting with lab tasks as needed
- Making appliances (ie sportsguards, bleaching trays, etc)
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Maintain and order supplies and equipment
- Knowledge of Curve Software is an asset
- Ordering supplies and organizing the office
- Admin office experience is a bonus
- Evenings and some weekends are required
Job requirements:
- Harp Certified
- CPR Certification
- IPAC Certificates (preferred)
