Security Supervisor - Distribution center Pickering

Requirements:

1. Valid Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR certificate
2. Proven experience in security supervisor role for at least 1 year
3. Minimum of 2 year Security experience, preferably in Distribution Center.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals.
5. Excellent computer skills, and the ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
6. Must be physically fit and able to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
7. Ability to handle multiple situations and use sound judgment to handle emergency situations
8. Must be knowledgeable on various systems including but not limited to CCTV various types, elevators, mechanical alarms, intercom systems, fire and life safety systems, control room system
9. Ability to write and compile reports on computer software in a timely manner

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead a team of security guards, ensuring their compliance with company policies and procedures.
2. Schedule and coordinate shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
3. Monitor incoming and outgoing traffic at the distribution center gatehouse, verifying credentials, conducting vehicle searches, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
4. Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities, including incident reports, vehicle logs, and visitor logs.
5. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all security measures are in place and report any breaches or concerns to the management.
6. Monitor CCTV systems and respond to any security incidents or emergencies promptly and appropriately.
7. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to maintain effective communication and coordination of security activities.
8. Provide training and guidance to security personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
9. Stay updated on security industry trends and best practices, implementing necessary changes to enhance security protocols.

Pay - $22.00 per hour
