Title: MRB / MAP Liaison – Design Engineer

Location: Montreal Hybrid (3 days a week in office) + ability to be in Mirabel (North Shore)

Job Description:

As part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will build/develop dispositions to non-conformance material, parts, assemblies, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investigate non-conformances reported by the quality group.
2. Evaluate manufacturing deviation and its effect within the assembly.
3. Create engineering dispositions, supported by drawing/sketches and company/international standards.
4. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Work in close collaboration with Engineering Specialists such as Stress, M&P, and Aerodynamics.
6. Work hand in hand with production and production support groups (Methods/manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics) to fix and resolve operational or engineering issues on aircraft.
7. Exchange information and collaborate between sites to ensure sharing of technical knowledge.
8. Coordinate with other MAP offices (Spain, Mexico, India) to ensure all client requirements are accurately addressed.
9. Mentor new MRB candidates through on-the-job training.

Required Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of five (5) years MRB/MAP experience in commercial/business aircraft OR eight (8) years design experience in Aerospace.
3. Excellent knowledge of aircraft structure and system installation.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Knowledge in mechanics of material, stress analysis, and composite materials.
6. Desire and capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after a period of on-the-job training.
7. Knowledge in design office (design or stress) of aircraft structures (Airframe).
8. Extensive knowledge in CATIA V5 or similar CAD Software.
9. Able to work autonomously and be a good teammate.
10. Good command of the English language (written and spoken), with bilingualism (French and English) being an asset.
11. An upbeat person with excellent communication and social skills, a high sense of dedication, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a fast-paced partner/supplier team environment.
12. Proficient in MS Office.
