Job Summary

The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for the planning, oversight, and execution of learning programs and initiatives that strengthen organizational skills, capabilities, compliance, and performance.

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Manager, Learning & Development, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  1. Instructional design mastery; Using the ADDIE model (or similar) in your design and develop when implementing learning for both face-to-face and online courses
  2. Manage internal instructional design projects, external partners, and SMEs in creating appropriate content for courses that may include video, photos, audio, tests, quizzes, and interactive activities
  3. Develop curriculum to support a best-in-class employee experience and a strong onboarding program
  4. Expert in the design of leadership and front-line workshops focused on exceptional service, retail, and customer experiences
  5. Solid experience in the design and facilitation of workshops supporting multi-levels of an organization
  6. Serve as program manager for key enterprise-wide content
  7. Consult on and configure course and program technical design and implementation that translates employee needs
  8. Analyze learning needs, tasks, and styles, to develop end-to-end and recommend end-to-end learning
  9. Using data, provide direction and guidance in learning-concept design to support organizational goals

  1. Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
  2. Hospitality experience in restaurant or hotel is desirable
  3. 3-5 years of professional experience actively developing learning content across multiple platforms (including mobile).
  4. Experience successfully deploying and sustaining learning projects and programs into production.
  5. Proficiency in authoring e-Learning software such as Articulate, Moodle, IsEasy, Camtasia, or similar technologies.
  6. Experience in Learning Management Systems with gamification and micro-learning expertise
  7. High level proficiency in using MS Office suite & web-based services such as WebEx, Teams, and similar technologies.
  8. Strong group facilitation & presentation skills at all levels
  9. Available to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends with a potential of 15-20% travel
  10. Bilingual in French/English is an asset.
