3 years to less than 5 years (Priority will be given to applicants with relevant work experience in large North American companies)
Company Description: Buffet to Go is a restaurant that offers a fusion of traditional Chinese and Canadian dishes. We provide a variety of services, including dine-in, take-out, catering, and delivery. We are currently seeking a purchaser to join our team. Under the direction of the owner, the personnel is responsible for providing procurement and supply chain support to the team through the day-to-day purchasing and supplier management processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Purchase equipment, furnishings, supplies, and other necessary materials for multiple locations.
- Assess the needs of each location and develop detailed specifications to ensure product consistency and quality.
- Negotiate the best prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to balance cost efficiency and quality.
- Collect and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers, selecting the best options based on price, quality, and delivery terms.
- Define and agree upon specific terms and conditions of purchase contracts to meet operational requirements.
- Plan and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure a timely and efficient supply of materials and equipment, tracking progress to address any delays or issues.
- Maintain communication with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality, ensuring smooth operations.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent negotiation experience.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, statistics knowledge and experience required.
- Good computer skills in MS Office software, document filing/measurability system implementation.
