Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a strong focus on packaging design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust visual aesthetic, excellent design skills, and the ability to communicate ideas effectively through visual media. You will collaborate with various departments to create compelling graphics that support our marketing efforts, enhance our brand identity, and engage our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Packaging: Develop innovative and visually appealing packaging solutions that reflect our brand identity and resonate with our target audience. This includes designing labels, product cartons, specification sheets, and promotional materials for various product lines.
  2. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and production teams to ensure packaging designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
  3. Maintain Brand Consistency: Ensure all packaging designs align with company guidelines and maintain brand consistency across all products.
  4. Research Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor packaging to bring fresh ideas and innovative concepts to our designs.
  5. Prepare Mockups: Create prototypes and mockups of packaging designs for internal reviews and presentations to stakeholders.
  6. Print Production Knowledge: Work with vendors and printers to ensure high-quality production of packaging materials and understand printing processes and specifications.
  7. Manage Multiple Projects: Handle multiple packaging projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.

Expected Software Applications:

  1. Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
  2. Adobe After Effects (for motion graphics).
  3. Adobe Premiere Pro (for video editing).
  4. Figma or Sketch (for UI/UX design).
  5. Microsoft Office Suite (for presentations and documentation).

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, particularly in packaging design.
  3. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with web design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
  4. Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Ability to take constructive criticism and adapt designs based on feedback.
  7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications:

  1. Experience in UI/UX design or web development is a plus.
