The Global Identity & Access Management organization is responsible for setting the strategy and roadmap for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and defining, delivering, operating, and governing security controls pertaining to IAM across Scotiabank globally. This includes Identity Lifecycle Management, centralized provisioning of workforce identities, access governance, certification of workforce identities and accounts, management of privileged access, authentication including Multi-Factor Authentication and Single Sign-On, as well as the selection and integration of IAM solutions.
The Senior IAM Engineer handles the practical requirements analysis, providing integration solutions, development, implementation, and support for Web Access Management systems.
You will be working with a development team to handle the whole project cycle and deliver quality technical solutions.
You want to have the responsibility of designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
You have a passion for learning Security technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
You can take part in an on-call pager rotation to provide after-hours maintenance support.
You love initiating proactive communication with internal/external teams.
Ensure all software and infrastructure systems have appropriate information controls, backup and recovery strategies, and are designed for high availability and disaster recovery.
Investigate, perform root cause analysis, and resolve system problems during standard work hours and/or assigned on-call hours.
Provide technical leadership to Level 1 and Level 2 support and development teams concerning the catalogue of IAM services and solutions provided.
You have strong experience in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
You have strong experience in Java, Cloud, and Web development.
You have knowledge of system monitoring such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
You have knowledge of security protocols such as SAML 2.0, Auth 2.0, LDAP, and MFA.
You have a working knowledge and understanding of Linux and Tomcat.
You have a working knowledge and understanding of cryptography and certificate management.
Knowledge of Identity management products and technologies (asset).
Working knowledge and understanding of identity lifecycle management and governance/auditing.
Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication both verbal and written and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with business partners.
