Job Description

As the Director of Business Development - Healthcare, you would be joining the team at a critical time in the market as there are several opportunities in the pipeline that require passionate talent to take them across the finish line. You'll play a crucial role in driving Sodexo’s growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities in the Food and Facilities Management space. Your mission: expand our client base and generate revenue by proactively engaging with key decision-makers in high-potential markets.

In this dynamic role, you'll:

  1. Develop and nurture a strong sales pipeline while working with our established pipeline, you will follow up on these qualified leads as well as use your highly skilled intuition in the marketplace to lead you to new business.
  2. Identify and pre-qualify new opportunities, positioning Sodexo as the partner of choice for healthcare organizations.
  3. Drive and close high-velocity deals, focusing on mid-to-large-sized accounts with transactional revenue potential.
  4. Collaborate closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, and the Proposal team to create winning strategies that convert leads into long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 5-7 years of solid experience selling to C Suite stakeholders
  • Experience selling food services, facilities management, or property management services or comparable services
  • Experience in Acute and or Long Term Care is required
  • Experience in building trusted partnerships with our Indigenous partners would be an asset
  • Experience responding to complex RFP’s with large-volume, multi-service, multi-year contracts
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with sales database management system (CRM)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Superior writing skills
  • Proficiency in understanding financial operating statements and preparing proformas
  • Bilingual in French and English is a very strong asset
  • Travel will be required across Ontario (about 40% of your time)
