Fish Plant Manager

Jump Recruitment is currently seeking candidates for the permanent, full-time position of Plant Manager for our client, Ocean Choice International, located in Triton, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing leader with a proven track record in managing production operations and leading teams to achieve performance goals. As Plant Manager at our Triton processing facility, you will oversee the production of snow crab and pelagic species for global markets.

In this fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of plant performance, ensuring objectives are met in a cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will have strong coaching abilities, collaborate effectively with senior management, and demonstrate exceptional judgment and professionalism. You will be expected to lead and inspire a diverse team to meet production goals while fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree from a college or university, or five to ten years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a food-related field.
2. Proven managerial experience with the ability to effectively lead teams and projects to accomplish goals and objectives; and effectively address and resolve personnel issues.
3. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong decision-making skills and ability to multi-task while maintaining a positive attitude.
5. High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
6. Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is available including health and pension plans.
