Coastland Wood Industries Ltd. currently has an opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our team at our Marine Terminal in Nanaimo, BC.

Our Forklift position may include but is not restricted to the following key aspects of the position:

• Safely unload trucks and organize veneer storage.
• Load lumber trucks efficiently.
• Load and unload barges.
• Understand barge loading patterns and weight distribution.
• Secure and tie up barge upon arrival.

The prospective candidate must possess the following skill set and qualifications:

• Sit down, counterbalanced forklift experience and certification.
• Experience loading trucks with a forklift (an asset).
• Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Willing to work a flexible shift based on tides, weather, and production conditions.
• Strong organizational skills.

This position is considered safety sensitive. The successful candidate will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.
