POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Corporate Finance and Treasury, leads financial performance and asset value analyses, applying complex financial models to development projects, acquisitions, and operational sites for the Kruger Energy and Kruger Real Estate divisions. The incumbent also oversees financing and cash management.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Participates in the development and oversight of both divisions’ corporate strategies to support their growth objectives.
  2. Builds and manages financial models for development and acquisition projects and works closely with development teams.
  3. Ensures that the financial models of the two divisions’ operating sites are kept up to date.
  4. Leads financial modeling tasks.
  5. Coordinates activities related to the Energy division's budgeting process, as well as the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operating reports for the Energy and Real Estate divisions.
  6. Manages the relationship with the lenders of the Energy division as its main point of contact.
  7. Controls and optimizes the Energy division’s cash management, in collaboration with the accountants.
  8. Develops analyses and presentations when evaluating acquisition opportunities for the two divisions.
  9. Plays a leading role in the due diligence process, as well as in the execution of financing transactions for both divisions.
  10. Maintains a good knowledge of the real estate industry, the renewable energy sector, available financing structures, and technologies used in the market.
  11. Knowledge of the investment structure of real estate properties and the different structures available in the market, including the G.P. structure for our future projects.
  12. Manages multiple projects simultaneously and works effectively, both individually and as part of the team.
  13. Manages the workflow with external and internal stakeholders.
  14. Manages, develops, and supervises a team of corporate finance and treasury analysts and finance intern(s).
  15. Takes care of other projects or mandates for the Finance Director and the CFO.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Business Administration/Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.

EXPERIENCES

  • A minimum five (5) of seven (7) years of firsthand experience in M&A and capital raising processes is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint software.
  • Financial modeling skills.
  • Understanding of the renewable energy industry is an asset.
  • Understanding of the real estate industry is an asset.
  • Ability to deal with staff at all levels, at our sites or head office, and with representatives of financial institutions.

LANGUAGES

Bilingualism (English/French) is essential.

Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
