The opportunity

Reporting to Senior Manager, Program Development, the Specialist, Program Development, CardiacCrash is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering on program development, to ensure program success and achievement of maximum impact in communities across Canada.

The role is also responsible for the tactical execution of program operations, plans, promotions and collaboration with the CardiacCrash relationship specialist teams, to support the successful execution of the program. This role also supports tasks related to content development for promotional purposes and the larger CardiacCrash digital ecosystem.

Program Development – Strategic Input

  • Provide input into program plans including strategies, tactics and executional considerations
  • Develop contingency plans as necessary to achieve goals
  • Plan and execute pre-defined components of the program
  • Develop innovative ideas for testing so as to reduce costs and drive revenue
  • Identify best practices in similar programs/industries that could be tested and integrated into the program
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the target markets and other stakeholders
  • Execute surveys and research requirements
  • Provide reports and conduct effective analyses to inform decision-making and business planning (and contingency implementation, if necessary)
  • Review processes and investigate efficiencies to support current and future business needs

Program Execution

  • Assist with development of website vision and digital constituent experience
  • Lead development of bilingual materials communications, and other tools
  • Ensure high quality, relevant and timely communications with various stakeholders
  • Establish agreed-upon approval process and obtain sign off on plans and communications
  • Assist in delivering and executing digital strategies including paid media, email and social media
  • Lead email briefing, list preparation, deployment and act as a key member in developing and executing a communications plan
  • Proactively investigate opportunities and handle any issues, working closely with key stakeholders

Program Operations Support

  • Lead the planning and tactical execution of the Cardiac Crash annual program plans to support the successful delivery of all program targets
  • Work with vendors and internal partners to ensure that all project deliverables are met on time, on strategy and on budget
  • Lead discussions with internal and external partners to ensure mutual alignment is maintained
  • Attend briefings, research discussions, focus groups, ideation sessions etc. as required
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to gather and analyze data from previous executions (stakeholders, the competitive landscape, key metrics, financial performance and market trends) to bring forward insights and identify national and local opportunities
  • Lead the fulfillment process with the Fundraising Operations team, forecasting, prototyping, write-offs, inventory replenishment and Cardiac Crash relationship specialist team communication
  • Communicate direction and decisions, seeking input from Sr Manager and other stakeholders
  • Analyze current and new processes and systems to improve productivity
  • Provide input into relationship specialist team and volunteer training materials, assist in delivery of training as needed
  • Develop and coordinate annual program promotions including promotion prizes, website assets, email communication, rules and regulations and fulfillment
  • Develop how-to guides, videos and support aids for successful program execution and provide input into the development of training materials for national webinars and regional training workshops
  • Review processes related to execution of programs and identify opportunities to improve or increase efficiency
  • Support internal customer service inquiries regarding execution of programs and liaise with call center as needed

Administration

  • Manage critical paths, including program master timeline, creative development, print and production
  • Ensure strong and clear communication with the Cardiac Crash relationship specialist team and other teams
  • Ensure program resources are updated on internal SharePoint site for CC relationship specialist team
  • Respond to requests from internal stakeholders, volunteers and donors
  • Coordinate and execute regular correspondence to the specialist teams
  • Monitor current year reports and identify areas for concerns and contingency opportunities
  • Resolve questions coming from CC relationship specialists and CC Coordinator
  • Other administrative and support functions as necessary to deliver program

Who we need

Education

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 2-3 years of previous work experience in marketing, communications or fundraising
  • Project Management preferred – 1-2 years’ experience
  • Program Development and Fundraising experience preferred
  • 1+ year of digital strategy and marketing experience would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of website development, email, digital and social media
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
