Accountabilities:

As a Senior Statistical Programmer, you are responsible for leading programming deliverables of a clinical study or a small to medium sized clinical project. Typical accountabilities include:

1. Quality, timely and efficient delivery of programming work for a study or project
2. Implements statistical programming aspects of the protocol or clinical development program
3. Ensures high quality is built into own deliverables and the quality delivered by other programmers
4. Programs independently with high efficiency and quality
5. Writes specifications and oversee completeness of relevant documentation
6. Contributes to or drives the development of best practices to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness within function
7. Ensures compliance to standards and automation usage
8. Plans and leads team activities and tasks
9. Identifies, manages and communicates risk within the assigned studies and/or projects
10. Works proactively with study team members including but not limited to the statistician, lead programmer, data manager and study leader
11. Works cooperatively with contract programming providers
12. Influences stakeholders by providing subject matter expertise on programming related items
13. Contributes to or leads technical initiatives
14. Employs project management practices in managing programming aspects of drug or technical projects

Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

1. Degree in Mathematics (i.e., Applied Math, Engineering, etc), Statistics, Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent
2. Excellent programming skills in SAS (or R) and SAS macros
3. Proficient knowledge of the clinical development process and industry standards (CDISC)
4. Ability to apply programming knowledge to problem solving
5. Ability to manage relevant documentation
6. Ability to influence relevant stakeholders on Programming related items
7. Current knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements relevant to the role

Desirable Skills/Experience:

1. Broad experience across multiple therapeutic areas and across all phases of clinical trials
2. Experience in regulatory submissions and interactions
