We are currently recruiting for a Demand Planner, this role is responsible for delivering forecast accuracy targets through successful utilization and continuous improvement of demand planning tools, processes, and collaboration with our business partners in LCBO and Ontario Grocery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Own respective regional and channel demand plans and develop corrective actions in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing teams to address variance.
  2. Institutionalize common sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes, collaborative tools, and communications.
  3. Continuously develop and improve the demand planning forecasts, respective targets and key performance indicators to drive the best forecast.
  4. Analyze and maintain accurate and detailed rolling demand plans in conjunction with sales to ensure product availability.
  5. Ensure that assumptions, risks, and opportunities relating to the medium- and long-term business targets are identified, monitored, and reported.
  6. Be the focal point between Sales, Finance, Marketing and Operations to share MTD Sales numbers, volumes shift for the future, understand market trends and translate it into the forecast.
  7. Lead collaborative Demand Planning meetings with respective region/channels.
  8. Conduct in-depth gap analysis to meet forecast Bias and Forecast Accuracy (FA) targets and drive improvement to exceed these targets.
  9. Generate volumetric budget plan(s) utilizing sales history and inputs from Marketing & Sales.
  10. Initiate improvement ideas to streamline the business and improve processes enabling the best possible Demand forecast.
  11. Building tools to improve efficiency and provide views into business planning opportunities and challenges.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree (Master an asset).
  2. Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  3. Ability to problem solve, multi-task and react to changing priorities.
  4. Possess a “can-do” attitude, ownership and be a self-starter.
  5. Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and make sound, fact-based decisions.
  6. Theoretical and practical knowledge of supply chain (forecasting, production planning and inventory control).
  7. Ability to manage pressure and conflicting requests as well as excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  8. Ability to work in a dynamic, tight timelines and fast-paced environment.
  9. Ability to work remotely and autonomously.
  10. Change management and process improvement skills.
  11. Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  12. At least 3 years in demand planning.
  13. Strong knowledge of ERP tools sets (J.D. Edwards an asset).
  14. Proven technical skills in Demand Planning Software (JDA an asset).
