Fresh Product Quality Control Supervisor/Coordinator

Silver Valley Farms Ltd. is a fast-paced, high-volume farm and fresh fruit packing facility in Maple Ridge. We are currently seeking a seasonal Fresh Blueberries QC Supervisor/Coordinator. An ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and responsible.

Responsibilities

1. Work with the Operations Coordinator and assist in the development and implementation of food safety and quality control procedures, ensuring all procedures are correctly followed from pre-harvest to post-harvest stages.
2. Work with production/department supervisors to train farm workers in quality control procedures and ensure policies and procedures are followed during storing, shipping, raw material evaluations, sanitation, and compliance with good manufacturing and distribution practices.
3. Establish procedures for quality control and work with shift supervisors to oversee production to meet quality standards.
4. Inspect the quality and condition of fresh blueberries for export in the field, during the packing process, and prior to shipping.
5. Conduct relevant physical tests on raw material in accordance with specifications and generate accurate and timely production, quality control, and GMP reports and records.

Qualifications

1. Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in an agriculture-related field.
2. 1-4 years of quality assurance/production experience in the soft fruit export industry.
3. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills; good verbal and written communication in English. Spanish spoken is not required but is an asset.
4. Valid driver’s license is not required but is an asset.

1. Seasonal position. 12 months of work depending on product availability.
2. Availability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends as required.
3. Estimated start date: May 1, 2025.
4. Wage: $20 - $23 hourly based on experience and qualifications.
