Job description

Due to exceptional growth Medgate would like to add a Client Services Manager to their team. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, for over 20 years they have developed one of the market's most advanced Occupational Health & Safety software technologies. Their clients are generally large in nature with an emphasis on chemical, utility, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing industries. These clients include Fortune 500 corporations, government agencies, and hospitals located in North America, South America, Europe, and The Middle East.

Based out of the Toronto head office or out of your home office located either in the US or Canada:

Primary Responsibilities will include:
  1. Act as the primary liaison between Medgate and their clients. Validate that assigned clients are satisfied with all provided software and services. Take appropriate corrective actions and/or make recommendations to management when they do not.
  2. Define and document client user requirements in the form of Change Requests (Change Control Documentation). Validate changes in software and communicate discrepancies back to software development staff. Ensure that software changes meet client expectations and requirements.
  3. Consult with and make recommendations to clients on how to implement Medgate’s software technology. Assist clients with their internal planning, scheduling, and project management of implementation tasks. Consult with clients on the configuration of Medgate’s software to meet business requirements.
  4. Make recommendations to clients on how to align their business practices with standard software functionality.
  5. Develop and conduct standard & customized training sessions for end-users and train-the-trainer programs.
  6. Assist when necessary in pre-sales support, including onsite product demonstration and Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety trade shows.
  7. Provide application enhancements, functionality, and quality assurance (application testing) to Application Development (R&D) for development cycle of the core product.
Ideal Candidate will have:
  1. A university graduate in either Health Care, Business Administration, Computer Science or related program with equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience in the field of Occupational Health and Safety; a CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) or ROH (Registered Occupational Hygienist) a definite asset.
  3. Experience executing technology implementations at external client sites.
  4. Knowledge of formal project management methodologies and system development life cycles.
  5. Strong supervisory, negotiating, delegation, and organizational skills.
  6. Must have the ability to work independently and be self-directed, as well as on a team.
  7. Strong time management skills.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to mentor team members and resolve conflicts.
Travel:

This position will involve about 50% travel to client sites.

Reporting:

You will report to the Director of Client Services.

Compensation:

The total compensation plan is in the $85K range.
