Java Developer - Intermediate

WHAT WILL BE YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?

• Study, analyze and estimate user stories in the Equity Finance Trading System business domain.
• Drive toward tech/non-tech solutions, assess either tactical or strategic approaches, assess timeframe of solution(s).
• Coordinate with business analysts and end users in understanding development needs.
• Develop code artifacts, deployment plans, infrastructure, and technical upgrades in compliance with development standards. Participate actively in continuous upgrade of deployment pipeline.
• Hands-on involvement in analysis and documentation of testing results and review with end-users.
• Participate in large software implementations covering quarterly upgrades and new functionality deployment.

Profile:
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have:

• 5 years of experience as a software applications developer.
• Service oriented application architecture knowledge.
• Knowledge on Databases
• Using of standard tools for source version control systems, unit testing, continuous integration.
• Professional experience in Object oriented programming.
• Professional experience in web development.
• Professional experience in SQL like Postgres.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Team player.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in unit testing and agile development.
• Experience in python development.
• Experience in DevOps.
• Experience in version control systems.
• Knowledge of financial products.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.

Languages: English, French.

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
