Russell Hendrix has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Sales Representative to join our team in Toronto. This position is ideal for a sales leader with extensive foodservice industry knowledge and experience and is looking to utilize their experience to create profitable, innovative, operationally responsible, and client-driven design solutions. In this position you will be trusted to sell, close and design challenging and technical projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Meet with prospective clients to assess needs and costs for design/projects.
  • Develop new business by leveraging brand and company strengths through networking and lead generation. Continually analyzing market trends to provide customer centric design solutions.
  • Account management for large multi-unit and contract-based accounts.
  • Build high level relationships with multi-unit accounts.
  • Maintain professional relationships with the head office and customer; answer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Organize and effectively chair meetings with senior executives.
  • Identify and win new opportunities with accounts and coordinate with account managers, designers, and project managers for the execution.
  • Maintaining client relationship through to completion and follow up of projects.
  • Contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and producing quotations to drive new incremental sales revenue.
  • Achieving sales volume targets through solution-based selling & identifying needs of the customer.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating and Project Management teams regarding fees associated with design, meeting deadlines, etc.
  • Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, consultants, and other trades to successfully acquire new project opportunities for the organization.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and superiors to ensure exceptional quality of design and customer service.
  • Specify and recommend commercial kitchen equipment based on client’s needs.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to coordinate construction details during project delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • You have extensive foodservice industry knowledge/experience.
  • B2B sales experience is considered an asset. Experience in networking with consultants, architects, and other food service industry trades will also be considered.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Institutional Management, Project Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • You have experience and in-depth understanding of food service operations – processes, flow, efficiencies, and applicable codes.
  • You have a general understanding of construction, as well as mechanical and electrical design.
  • You have a working knowledge of restaurant licenses and permits involved in designing a commercial kitchen.
  • You are a problem solver, experienced in identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • You are detail oriented and well organized.
  • Your verbal and written communication skills are excellent.
  • You are self-motivated and proactive, with timely follow-up and a high commitment to deliverables.
  • You are highly collaborative, both within your team and across multiple departments.
  • You are open to giving and receiving feedback.
  • You are willing to submit a portfolio of work samples via PDF or provide a link to preview the portfolio.
