Summer Slopes Trail Crew

Do you enjoy working outdoors in fresh mountain air? We seek passionate and motivated individuals to join our Summer Slopes Trail Crew. The Summer Slopes Trail Crew Member will play a critical role in helping to maintain hiking trails, ski runs and other areas in the resort using various tools. We are passionate about maintaining and protecting the Flora and Fauna within the outdoor recreational spaces, so landscaping, cattle control, sign maintenance and erosion control are also part of your daily activities. Compensation Information: $20.10 per hour

Physical Requirement: Heavy; Work activities involve handling loads more than 20kg; predominately outdoor work environment.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills You Bring With You:

• Must be in good physical shape, able to undertake constant hard physical work, and able to safely lift heavy objects.
• Willing and prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean abstract (we will require a consent form signed by applicant so abstract can be checked).
• Must be capable of working closely together with others in a strong team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekends and holidays) as required by summer operating hours, special events, and Fire Danger Rating.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of slopes including but not limited to: re-vegetation, clearing, brushing, maintaining run-off structures, signage, and improvements.
• Cattle control (building and maintaining smooth wire fences, electric fences, gates, and cattle herding).
• Landscaping (general maintenance and improvement of lawns and general resort beautification).
• Erosion control, hiking trail sign installation and maintenance, bike trail maintenance, and ski run sign maintenance.
• Understand and work towards departmental and company goals, timelines, and objectives.
