We want to add a motivated person who wants to own their own insurance agency. The ideal candidate for our insurance agent position needs to have solid communication skills and a drive to be successful. They must bring a friendly attitude and a passion for customer service, and we’ll invest our resources into training you to be a successful insurance sales representative!

Responsibilities

  1. Willingness to create lasting relationships within your local community
  2. Serve as an attentive listener when communicating with new and potential clients in order to accurately identify their unique needs prior to pursuing specific insurance sales
  3. Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients
  4. Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met
  5. Implement marketing strategies including, but not limited, to cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while simultaneously maintaining a portfolio of current clients
  6. Keep an accurate log of sales databases, client reports, bookkeeping records, and more to share progress toward goals with key stakeholders

Qualifications

  1. Must be a good communicator and be able to explain complex insurance programs to the customer
  2. Must be a superb communicator able to carefully analyze complex ideas like insurance programs; experience working in customer service is beneficial
  3. Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders
  4. Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required
  5. Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial
  6. Valid insurance license required or candidates must be willing to get licensed

Compensation

$66,000 at plan commission
