Job title: Senior Demand Planner

Location: Mississauga, ON located at 2500 Royal Windsor Dr, Mississauga ON L5J 1K8

Hybrid - 16-months contract

What to Expect:

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for the order life cycle of imported products, including demand planning, dispatch planning, inventory analysis, and additional responsibilities for Master Data, Reporting, Training, or Innovation & Renovation. Additionally, you will partner with the Nestlé Purina's Canadian Sales team to develop customer inventory position strategies and plans necessary to achieve profitable sales objectives. You will ensure the demand forecast within Nestlé Purina PetCare Canada is aligned with sales objectives.

A day in the life:

  • Create dispatch plans for replenishment orders, considering the strategic stock policies of the receiving location and the need to maintain high levels of customer service from the forward distribution point.
  • Influence product availability and capacity optimization by coordinating with Operations Planning to reach optimal Customer Order Fulfilment targets.
  • Closely monitor on-time reports, focusing on scheduling and production constraints.
  • Compile and analyze data to understand the optimal way of importing pet foods to balance between cost and service.
  • Analyze KPI reports to anticipate and identify issues and develop recommendations to improve operations.
  • Monitor and maintain master data settings within master data responsibilities to ensure system-generated requirements are accurate.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Affiliates, Finance, and Leadership) to track the Annual budget process.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data reported on Budget project deliverables.
  • Review opportunities within product distribution for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identify potential areas for improvement, savings, or efficiency; also present outside-the-box solutions.
  • Share demand planning best practices and ensure the effective flow of information between the Demand and Supply Planning function and internal business partners (Order Management, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance).
  • Increase 'Speed to Market' through effective coordination of Innovation & Renovation.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years in Demand Planning/Supply Chain or any related field.
  • Completed University Degree ideally in Supply Chain, Logistics, Demand Planning, or any related field.
  • Demonstrated success in previous roles, delivering against KPIs.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Strong analytical background.
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to manage business relationships with integrity in a changing environment.
  • SAP and Power BI knowledge is an asset.
