Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the healthcare team at our non-profit hospital. In this role, you will work directly with radiologists and cardiologists to perform a variety of nuclear medicine and PET procedures that require judgment, ingenuity and radiation protection practices, while responding to any of the patient’s special, physical, emotional, and/or age-specific related needs.
Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine scans, including PET scans, to assess patient health and diagnose conditions.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations by interpreting imaging results and collaborating with physicians.
Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and imaging results.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and aseptic techniques during all procedures.
Educate patients about the procedures they will undergo, addressing any concerns or questions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans based on imaging results.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program
New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist License
CNMT certification or registered nuclear medicine technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
CPR Certified
