What We Offer:

1. Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including (but not limited to) administering medications, bathing and personal care, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, attending medical appointments, etc.
2. Assisting clients’ transition to community living where appropriate.
3. Practice a person-directed approach to supporting clients.
4. Improving client’s quality of life by making a positive impact on everyday activities.
5. Developing a strong respectful relationship with the clients you are supporting.
6. Nurturing a strong rapport with family members, while also building and maintaining relationships with other supports.
7. Planning and facilitating leisure, recreational and social activities.
8. Maintain detailed and accurate files on each client including daily and quarterly reports.
9. Responding appropriately in times of crisis/emergency.

1. High school graduate. Post-secondary education preferred.
2. The 7 Provincial Core Competencies outlined by Department of Community Services (can be completed upon hire).
3. Ability to provide a clear, current Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
4. Provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
5. Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Must be a team player and demonstrate a high degree of initiative, judgement, and a positive can-do attitude.
