Purpose

The Manager Joint Venture, Finance and Accounting will be in charge to optimize different processes and systems related to the accounting and finances of this site and will have to provide critical information for decision-making. The person will work in collaboration with the plant manager and the Finance Manager located in Lac Megantic.

Sacopan est présentement à la recherche d’une personne pour combler le poste de : Directeur(rice) des finances et comptabilité.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares reports and performs analysis on weekly/monthly results, variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year as appropriate.
  • Prepares end of month and manage different accounts in respect with different regulation in place (Masonite, US GAAP and Canadian requirements).
  • In charge of accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR).
  • Responsible of monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of the P&L, inventory, capital, head count, and cash flow related to actual, forecast, and AOP results.
  • Supports development and communication of AOP, monthly, and quarterly forecast timing as well as the tracking of key deliverables.
  • Improve current practices, develops a more robust process to reduce approval cycle time in respect of SOX regulations.
  • Analyzes company financial statements (P&L/ Balance Sheet/ Cash Flow), variance analysis, and other selected financial assessments.
  • Assists with management and tracking current and forecasted capital expenditures including analysis into FP&A.
  • Leverages payback, NPV, IRR financial concepts to drive decision making, prioritization, etc.
  • Delivers financial presentations and support related to monthly executive financial reviews, summary of quarterly results, board documents, AOP/ forecast results, and business development initiatives.
  • In communication with internal and external customers (Sacopan board, Bank, external auditors,…) and have to provide adequate information as required.
  • Have 1 direct report.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Accounting, CPA is required.
  • 0-3 years of accounting related experience; cost accounting, sourcing/ supply chain or manufacturing a plus.
  • Experience in a matrix organization.
  • Knowledge of Lean Sigma tools and technique methodology, experience a plus.
  • Experience with financial systems is most helpful.
  • Strong sense of accountability; operates with sense of urgency and ownership in performing job duties.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to lead, influence, build consensus and work effectively in cross functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills at various levels in the organization.
  • Must be able to consolidate complex data / information into concise communication points.
  • Excellent organizational skills including but not limited to project planning, time management, and project management.
  • Must be a self-starter, flexible, and able to work on time sensitive projects without daily supervision.
  • Financial analysis acumen.
  • Advanced database and excel knowledge/ skills, proficient in PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual (English / French).
