Overview
Verathon is looking for a Program Manager II to become the newest member of our Visualization R&D team located in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage program execution and deliverables - scope, schedule, and costs
Core team leader for assigned NPD programs
Partner with functional managers to ensure sufficient resources are identified and allocated to the program
Collaborate with Core team to define program scope, development budget, and determine timelines
Establish master program schedule and milestones
Coordinate OpEx, capital, and prototyping expenses
Identify and create plan to mitigate program risks
Implement new technologies to advance medical device designs using appropriate materials and processes that can be transferred to production and manufacturing
Work with internal/external partners and core team to resolve mutual problems
Maintain team member accountability for achieving expectations and completing assignments
Apply knowledge of program management tools and methodologies: Agile, Visual and Daily management, Core teams; Risk management and V&V model.
Regularly interact with Executive Leadership Team, vendors, and contract manufacturers regarding program status, issues, and coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or technical field of study; Masters or advanced engineering degree preferred; PMP certification preferred
Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of leading technical product development using an NPD process
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to negotiate and influence multi-disciplinary teams and personnel
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Technical expertise in imaging, handheld or mobile devices, or electro-mechanical products preferred
Product development experience with medical devices specific to diagnostic imaging preferred
Travel up to 15% of the time is required

Salary range - $83,010 - $121,200. (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range)
Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance
