Asset Protection Coordinator – Full Time

Description:

Homestead Co-op is hiring a Full-Time Asset Protection Coordinator at Homestead Co-op with locations in Austin, Carman, La Salle, MacGregor, Oakville, Portage, and Treherne. This position will be based out of Portage la Prairie, MB.

What you will do:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Asset Protection Coordinator will be responsible for asset protection strategies for Homestead Co-op, including innovative programs for awareness, training, security solutions, criminal investigations, and risk assessments. This role manages security/loss prevention operations daily as well as information technology/cyber security. The Coordinator will work with third parties to ensure cyber threats are mitigated, account for all computer assets, and monitor and maintain IT assets. This position works in conjunction with Health and Safety. A valid driver’s license is required to travel between Homestead Co-op locations as needed.

  • You have a commitment to ongoing development in the industry, including remaining current with all federal and provincial legislation, technologies, and strategies.
  • You have 5 to 10 years of previous progressive and successful experience in Asset Protection and/or Risk Management, preferably in the retail industry.
  • You have previous experience in investigations and knowledge of security infrastructure (CCTV and intrusion systems).
  • You have a designation in Loss Prevention (CPP, CFI, CFE, LPQ, or LPC) and/or a Commerce or Business Degree or related experience.
  • You are honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
