The Medical Records Tech is responsible for the day-to-day operations of records support throughout the records warehouse. This may include compiling incoming records, verifying accuracy, sorting/coding according to the file system, storing records in paper form, and inputting information into the computerized storage system. The Medical Records Tech will also assist in prepping and scanning; removing staples, chart dividers, post-it notes, taping down loose documents, and counting pages to be appropriately batched. Searching and investigating information in files, typing reports, applying labels, and implementing the filing system as necessary. Maintaining a safe working environment and optimizing space utilization. Maintains a department "culture" that is patient-focused and participates in teamwork, quality, integrity, and professional growth.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.00 to $21.76. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
