Work location: Halifax, NS (Permanent remote)

Must have:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience with ETL and data validation testing
2. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks
3. Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries

Job Responsibilities:

The DW Tester thoroughly evaluates the software and data products according to the business standards or function requirements. The DW Tester performs advanced technical duties that require independent initiative and judgment, applying intermediate mathematical skills.

The DW Tester isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes. Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the data processes meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Decisions are typically focused on methods, tactics, and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

1. Ability to learn the current ecosystem quickly
2. Experience with ETL testing
3. Hands-on experience with Databricks
4. Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries
5. Experience with test documentation and processes (qTest or similar tool is a plus)
6. Snowflake experience is a plus
7. Python programming is a plus
