We have an immediate, rewarding career opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Ravensview, part of Homewood Health, the national leader in mental health and addictions treatment in Canada.

Homewood Ravensview is a private 75-bed mental health, trauma and addiction facility offering evidence-based, medically-led, inpatient services for first responders, military, veterans, executives & professionals, adults, and young adults. Located in North Saanich on 28 acres of forested hillside, Homewood Ravensview offers clients a comfortable and safe environment featuring serene ocean views from spacious rooms, welcoming common areas and a world-class team of physicians, psychiatrists, counsellors and 24-hour nursing professionals.

What you'll be doing

  1. Accurately record and maintain information from HR forms into the HRIS
  2. Enroll new hires into absence plan
  3. Prepare and send absence balance reports to managers
  4. Write employment agreements and employment verification letters as required
  5. Prepare and send electronic new hire packages to new employees
  6. Update organizational charts on a monthly basis
  7. Manage the Career Investment program
  8. Handle the service recognition program, helping managers recognize their staff and employees
  9. Provide support with general enquiries related to HR policies and processes
  10. Act as temp agency liaison for short term staffing needs
  11. Share the delivery of new employee orientation with the HR Consultant
  12. Act as back-up to the HR Consultant during absences and vacation

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required
  2. Minimum 1-2 years relevant Human Resource experience
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; French skills are an asset
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills
  5. Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and particularly Excel)
  6. Ability to learn new software such as HRIS and ATS, prepare reporting and accurately enter information
  7. Demonstrated attention to detail and passion for HR and our industry
  8. Proven customer service skills and professional, collaborative approach to internal customer service
  9. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  10. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  11. Knowledge of benefits and pension administration, an asset
