Navacord is seeking an experienced and innovative Vice President of Marketing to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, while collaborating with Navacord’s Chairman, CEO, and Executive teams, the VP will play a pivotal role in building and expanding the Navacord brand.

The Vice President will lead a head office team of direct reports, be accountable for the annual marketing budget, and collaborate closely with the marketing teams within our Broker Partners across Canada. The role will support M&A activities, rebranding initiatives, and corporate communications (internal and external), including press releases and key announcements. The successful candidate will also work to enhance Navacord’s employee value proposition and increase brand awareness in a competitive marketplace. The VP of Marketing will be a key contributor to One Culture initiatives such as diversifying sales, lifelong learning, and fostering unity within the organization, and will serve on the Executive One Culture Council.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance Navacord’s national brand visibility and support its long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead a head office team while collaborating with broker partner marketing teams to ensure cohesive, consistent messaging across the network.
  • Accountable for the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Champion One Culture initiatives—diversifying sales, lifelong learning, and fostering unity—and serve as a key member of the Executive One Culture Council.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics.
  • Build the community of marketing experts and resources across the Country.
  • Review and assess existing and new marketing technologies and platforms.

Financial Services Marketing and Sales Support

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for promoting products, services, and segment expertise supporting cross-sell opportunities and broker partner collaboration.
  • Work closely with sales teams to create targeted marketing campaigns that drive client acquisition, retention, and brand recognition.
  • Oversee the development of sales collateral, including brochures, presentations, case studies, RFPS, and digital content aligned with industry trends.

Brand, Communications, and Thought Leadership

  • Lead rebranding initiatives, ensuring the alignment of internal and external communications.
  • Manage Navacord’s national brand positioning, ensuring that messaging across all channels—press releases, company announcements, and digital platforms—strengthens the company’s reputation.
  • Drive content marketing and thought leadership strategies through whitepapers, webinars, newsletters, and participation in industry forums.
  • Manage public relations efforts to enhance Navacord’s visibility in the marketplace.
  • Monitor, review, and manage Trademarks across Navacord.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Support

  • Support marketing efforts related to M&A activities, including integration strategies, rebranding, and positioning for acquired broker partners.
  • Provide marketing expertise during due diligence processes and assist in communicating mergers or acquisitions to internal and external stakeholders.

Client Communications and Experience

  • Develop and manage client communication strategies aimed at building trust, strengthening relationships, and showcasing Navacord’s service offerings.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance customer experience and retention through loyalty programs, personalized marketing, and client engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with customer service and account management teams to improve client satisfaction and engagement.

Market Research and Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, emerging product opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
  • Use competitor analysis and market insights to inform strategic decisions related to pricing, positioning, and promotional efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in a national or multiregional role within the insurance or financial services sectors.
  • Proven experience leading brand awareness campaigns, with a strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with M&A marketing, rebranding efforts, and internal/external corporate communications.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across a decentralized network.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with day-to-day execution.
  • A champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Experience in marketing insurance products or professional services is highly preferred.
