Job Description

  1. Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with all stakeholders to understand the client project requirements. This involves assessing operational needs, security considerations, scalability requirements, and any specific technical challenges unique to the project.
  2. Network Design: Support the development of detailed network architecture and design proposals that align with the project's objectives. This includes determining the appropriate network topology, hardware and software components, protocols, and security measures needed to support the project's operational goals.
  3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of network designs, providing regular updates and reports to the PM and other leadership as required.
  4. Project Coordination: Collaborate with the PM, technical SMEs, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the project’s definition phase. This includes participating in project meetings, reviewing progress, and adjusting plans as necessary to meet project milestones.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Monitoring industry trends and technological advancements in networking. Recommending and implementing improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

  1. Proof of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) Bachelor’s degree in network, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR.
  2. Minimum of 10 years experience in a minimum of 1 of this assessment area's criteria.
  3. Analyzing, designing and implementing network system architectures.
  4. Communications engineering and network systems security (Hardware, software and network), including cryptographic key, devices, hardware, firmware or software that embodies or describes cryptographic logic.
  5. Network Engineering for Real-Time systems, Distributed Systems, embedded systems or mission critical systems environments.
  6. Network System Integration: hardware and software, (COTS and/or custom developed) components into new or existing systems.
  7. Network architecture directly related to implementation practices such as layer 2 nomenclature, routing protocol selection, security protocols, and deployment models in a high security environment.
  8. Analyzing, designing, integrating, testing and implementing communications network.
  9. Life-cycle management of network systems.
  10. Employing a computer modelling and simulation tool to complete network and/or wireless communications performance studies or protocol development.
  11. Minimum 2 years experience as a System Architect on Military Command and Control Communication and Information systems or ISTAR systems.
  12. Minimum of 4 years experience in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering.
  13. Minimum of 4 years experience in each of at least three of this assessment area's criteria:
  14. Communicating network technology frameworks/strategies to management and technical staff.
  15. Communicating network engineering direction for projects or systems.
  16. Providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management.
  17. Leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks or strategies.
  18. Performing strategic, operational or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.
  19. Willingness and ability to travel: Will be traveling for work at different times to other NATO countries.
