Hours Per Week: 35 (Full-Time)

Location: Alberta & Ontario – Hybrid (Find an Office)

Job Duration: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

You will manage the day-to-day handling of surety accounts, which includes all file maintenance, issuance of bonds; commercial and contract, issuance of invoices, entries into EPIC, and assist with any ad-hoc duties. Respond to client inquiries in a timely fashion and work on setting up brand new surety accounts with the help of account executives.

What You’ll Do

  • Works proactively to develop relationships with bonding companies and client contacts.
  • Proactively manage the surety facilities of assigned clients.
  • Reviewing bonds and ensure that the information corresponds with what is requested in the tender specifications.
  • Creates and maintains client files in accordance with established procedures. Will be responsible for keeping records in Epic and client management system.
  • Answering billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel with assistance from the Accounting Dept. when necessary.
  • Coordinate NFP’s data sharing and, where necessary, surety systems integration with external databases/platforms utilized by NFP’s Surety partners.
  • Work with NFP internal IT and external Applied Epic teams in order to streamline various tools, spreadsheets, and bordereaux to ensure consistent, accurate, and efficient intake of surety information.
  • Represent NFP at industry events, associations, and with surety companies.

What You Bring

  • Typically, more than 3 years of surety experience is preferred
  • Experience with Epic would be considered an asset
  • Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people and function well both in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner.
  • Customer-focused to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage time well in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment.
