Job description

MatrixHR is currently recruiting experienced Pipefitters for a long term project located in BC.

Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Journeyman Pipefitter to join our team for a long-term role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pipefitting, a strong understanding of industry standards, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in various settings (commercial, industrial, etc.)
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine pipe layout and installation procedures.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using various tools and equipment.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols on the job site.
Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with piping systems and provide effective solutions.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Document work performed and maintained accurate records as required.

Qualifications:

Valid Journeyman Pipefitter certification in British Columbia.
Relevant experience in pipefitting.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools specific to pipefitting tasks.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
All candidates will be required to pass government clearance
Must be eligible to work in Canada
